Cost Out Specialist

• Support in creating, updating and monitoring LOB (Line-Of-Balance) within the program team
• Under the guidance of Sourcing Commodities:
  – Define the list of suppliers to investigate (including the plan for second sources)
  – Collect documentation and prepare related packages
  – Support RfQ management.
• Through periodic meetings, support and monitor suppliers in order to:
  – respect the defined delivery times in the orders
  – achieve the technical and quality requirements in collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality depts.
• Monitoring of Sourcing and Program KPIs (Cost and timing)
• Launch of production readiness activities of the suppliers involved in the program: preparation, sending and collection of responses to the check lists according to Avio Aero’s standard templates
• Follow up on the actions defined during the readiness verification activities.
• Support the Sourcing team (Commodities and Sourcing Readiness) in identifying the risks associated with the identified Supply Chain.
• Support the Program to have the updated bill of materials and the related technical specifications available

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
• Demonstrated working experience as an engineer/ operation specialist in industry
• Demonstrated working experience in Cost – Out activities
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes and techniques
• Knowledge of Cost-Out processes and tools
• Demonstrated professional CAD software usage, NX preferred
• Demonstrated professional MS Project usage
• Demonstrated teamwork
• Excellent communication and pro-active approach
• Problem solving attitude
• Ability to work under time pressure and with budget/ resources constraints
• Knowledge of LEAN processes and standards
• Proficient English (spoken and written)
• Ability to work remotely with global team members
• Ability and availability to frequent travels to US
