MRB & Product Support Design Engineer

• Support component design and MRB activities of LPT Nozzles in order to achieve performance and structural requirements, manufacturability and business expectation – cost targets and delivery on time
• Provide Engineering substantiation for non conformances – machining, casting in Quality Systems (SAP), prepare technical reports of substantiations
• Support to manage non conforming material (QNs), aged WIP and QNs flow between GSC and Engineering account, help to obtain missing documentation from GSC, and standardize MRB description – simplify and lean process of QN flow
• Actively and openly report to MRB owners/managing functions highlighting opportunities for improvements and/or incorrections
• Proactively work with System Eng., Designers, Hardware Owners, machining shop improving design, solving manufacturability issues and simplifying production
  – Cost out projects
  – Design changes improving CPk
  – Support Substantiation Validation (VSE)
  – Support calls with GSC and casting suppliers
• Develop and support ideas for simplification, product robustness, DPU and cost reduction
• Provide Finite Element Analysis FEM and product definition for needs of the above:
  – FEM modeling (mesh, BC’s and Loads application) of engine components – Ansys, Hyper Mesh
  – Perform structural FEM analysis aimed to meet life and dynamic requirements – Ansys, Patran
  – Post processing of analysis and results interpretation
  – Results presentation and reporting to Hardware Owners and Technical Community
  – Document technical data in reports and dedicated repositories
  – Stack-Up analysis for specific geometrical features of individual components and/or module integration
  – Comparative studies using current experience for particular and/or similar components
  – Simplified engineering calculations based on physical & mechanical principia, engineering judgements
• Definition of NX geometrical 3D models of LPT components

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials or Aerospace Engineering
• Hands-on experience with engineering FEM analysis and simulations – static, fractures, dynamic (Ansys, HyperMesh, Siesta, Patran)
• Hands-on experience with LPT nozzles or blades manufacturing processes, production technology (machining, EDM, welding, heat treatment processes, CMM measurement)
• Fundamental knowledge of aviation engines, LPT and components, material application in aviation industry and materials durability
• Good knowledge of drawings interpretation and Global Dimensioning and Tolerances
• Basic knowledge of 2d/3d modelling (NX)
• Good English communication
• Good knowledge and practice of MS Office (Excel, Power Point)
• Self-motivation, open for new challenges and learning, team player
