Database Specialist

Your challenges
- Manage Oracle databases including installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize SQL queries
- Implement security measures to safeguard data
- Plan and execute data migrations between different database systems (e.g., Oracle to Amazon RDS)
- Utilize tools such as AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) or native Oracle tools for seamless data transfer
- Ensure minimal downtime during migrations.
- Set up and maintain Amazon RDS instances
- Configure backups, snapshots, and automated scaling
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration with applications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration, including Oracle and Amazon RDS
- Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning
- Familiarity with cloud services, especially Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
