Airworthiness & Certification Engineer

• Review the design of the engines or the design changes in order to comply with the applicable type-certification basis and environmental protection requirements.
• Manage Foreign Civil Aviation Authorities (FCAA’s) validation request.
• Ensure Design Organisation Handbook (including associated procedures) is maintained in conformity with the design assurance system.
• Prepare and maintain compliance checklist and provide verification to the Head of Design Organisation that all activities required for the type investigation have been properly completed.
• Monitor and communicate project status, regulatory issues and significant developments on engine programs related to engagement with EASA or FCAAs.
• Provide support to all departments of the design organisation in all matters relating to airworthiness, environmental protection approvals and certification.
• Coordinate the preparation of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) (service bulletins, maintenance manuals, etc.) and ensure airworthiness review of these instructions.
• Prepare, when required, draft of type-certificate data sheet or type-certificate data sheet

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or other technical disciplines from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an aerospace environment (Part 21 or Part 145 or Part M)
• Knowledge of civil aviation regulations (Part 21, 145, 147 & M), certification specifications and guidance material
• Excellent command of English language
• Problem solving, communication and presentation skills

Desired Characteristics

• Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering
• Experience with engine systems and components
• Experience with certification activities working with EASA or another Aviation Authority
• Previous experience as airworthiness engineer or CVE
• Knowledge of EASA CS-E, ETSO for APU’s and Part-21, particularly Subparts D, J and M.
• Ability to guide and influence others
• Good command of Czech language
